You have choosen a topic that can be very linked to preteenagers' life, especially suitable for boys. The story is full of humor and presented in an attractive way. It provides plenty of repetitions, which is always a good didactic strategy for students to learn vocabulary or grammar pattern.
The exercise number 3 can help students remember some important issues. In fact, this kind of exercises is significant for the teaching task, because it helps learners to focus on the issues that are really important.
At last, since the story is told in a very funny way and children can feel involved in it, it can be used to encourage children to talk. Actually exercise 4 is a kind of speaking exercise, which I find really useful, as learners can use the vocabulary and grammar patterns they have just seen previously.
